Who are we looking for? Ideal candidates are eager to learn and have a passion for the automotive industry. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided in acquiring used cars through trades, auctions, social media, and third‑party sources. Candidates should be motivated to develop skills in pricing cars, appraising vehicles, and purchasing inventory at auctions and wholesale. Experience with v‑Auto is a plus, but not mandatory. Strong follow‑up, communication skills, attention to detail, and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of acquiring a used‑car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off‑site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers, or any other available avenues.

Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensure timely processing of all purchases.

Responsible for understanding retail trends and participating in the inventory planning process.

Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate, and courteous manner. This highly accountable position uses lead management tools.

Requires working in a fast‑paced team environment, being effective as a self‑starter and working individually as needs dictate.

Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market.

Meet car buying quotas.

Understand market tendencies and changes to the trends in all geographic areas.

The estimated annual earning range for this position is ($40,000 to $60,000), which includes commissions on Department Net and/or bonus opportunities such as Manufacturer Approvability, Total Units, Flat Rate Hours.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a short‑term and/or long‑term incentive as part of total compensation, as well as a variety of other benefits, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
