The Panel Builder I is responsible for laying out and building electrical panels to meet customer needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Use of crane and/or forklift Review electrical prints to gain understanding of what is being built Check work instructions for any special requirements Compare kitted parts to bill of material (BOM) for discrepancies and document properly Build prep including printing wire labels, cutting Din rail, cutting wire duct, cutting tag track, procuring mounting hardware Basic assembly of electrical plates and enclosures from build prep per direction from Lead and documentation Assemble electrical components, controllers, etc. per direction from Lead and documentation Wire required components utilizing color/gauge, ferrules, cables, tags, and required identification according to print Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers Follow quality standards, comply with procedures, rules and regulations Keep a clean and safe working environment; optimize space utilization Other duties may be required Benefits and Perks

Education - High school diploma or equivalent - Technical or vocational training is a plus Experience - Minimum of three months’ experience in a related field Skills & Abilities - Precise attention to detail - Able to operate and use power tools - Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings - Basic understanding of measurement equipment Physical Demands Typically, the employee will stand or sit to do the work. There may be movement between areas, transporting items such as small products or parts. The position also requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding to customer sites. Work Environment Regularly exposed to a general production floor environment, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery. Work outside normal business hours may be required.
