Pay Range: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 Annually
Position Summary
The Structural Designer supports structural engineering efforts by developing detailed 3D models and construction drawings for industrial projects. This role works closely with structural engineers and multi-discipline teams to ensure accurate, coordinated, and constructible designs using Autodesk Revit.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed structural models and drawings in Revit for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
Produce plans, sections, details, and schedules based on engineering calculations and design direction
Coordinate structural models with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping, and architectural) to ensure clash-free design
Interpret engineer markups, sketches, and redlines to update models and drawings accurately
Assist engineers with quantity take-offs, material lists, and drawing organization
Ensure all drawings and models adhere to company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes
Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate effectively with engineers and project teams
Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and file management throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
5+ years of structural design/drafting experience in industrial or commercial environments
Proficient in Autodesk Revit (required)
Experience with structural materials including steel and concrete (masonry/wood a plus)
Familiarity with construction drawings, detailing practices, and industry standards
Understanding of basic structural design concepts and ability to interpret engineering calculationsHigh school degree required. Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting/design or related field preferred
