Job Description
This role seeks a structural or civil designer with strong proficiency in Revit and experience supporting industrial projects. The Structural Designer will focus on structural steel and concrete foundation design while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and constructible industrial facility designs.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed structural designs and models for industrial projects using Revit.
Produce and update structural drawings, plans, and details for structural steel and concrete foundations.
Apply structural design principles to ensure the safety, integrity, and constructability of industrial structures.
Use structural analysis tools such as RISA to support design decisions and verify structural performance.
Coordinate with engineers and other design disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall project layouts.
Review design documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards and codes.
Incorporate feedback from project teams and revise designs and models as required.
Support the preparation of documentation for project submissions, permitting, and construction.
Maintain organized project files, models, and drawings in accordance with company standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and best practices within the structural design team.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit for structural or civil design work.
Experience in structural design for industrial projects.
Hands‑on experience designing concrete foundations.
Hands‑on experience designing structural steel elements and systems.
Ability to use structural analysis software such as RISA.
Strong understanding of structural design principles and industrial facility requirements.
Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and construction documents.
Attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in structural or civil design within industrial environments.
Familiarity with integrating structural models into broader project workflows.
Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to work in an office‑based environment with the option for hybrid work after an initial period.
Work Environment The role begins as a fully in‑office position for approximately the first one to two months to support onboarding and collaboration with the design team. After this initial period, the position can transition to a hybrid schedule. Team members typically work in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and select one additional day on site each week, with flexibility for remote work on other days as appropriate.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Duluth, GA.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $30.00 - $45.00 /hr.
