Collections Representative
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (9/80 schedule option available). Some overtime and occasional weekends may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage collection efforts on overdue accounts, including investigation and follow-up
Handle a high volume of calls and emails with customers and internal teams
Maintain accurate customer records and document all correspondence
Review accounts, determine reasons for non-payment, and negotiate payment plans
Monitor and release/hold orders based on credit status
Partner with the credit team on account updates and financial reviews
Build strong relationships with customers and internal departments
Qualifications
Must live within 60 miles of our Houston office
1-3 years of B2B collections or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented attitude
