Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and packaging, is seeking a Mechanical Packaging Technician II to join their team. As a Mechanical Packaging Technician II, you will be part of the production support team, ensuring smooth operation of packaging machinery and maintaining high standards of efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Mechanical Packaging Technician II (Mechanical / Auto Tech Background) – Up to $21.50/hr. | Multiple Shifts Available Location: Fall River, MA
Shift Options & Pay:
1st Shift:
8:00 AM – 6:30 PM — $18.50/hr.
2nd Shift:
6:00 PM – 4:00 AM — $18.50/hr. + $2/hr. shift differential
3rd Shift:
12:00 AM – 9:00 AM — $21.50/hr.
Auto Mechanics, Diesel Techs, and Hands-On Troubleshooters Encouraged to Apply If you’ve worked on engines, diagnosed mechanical issues, or handled repairs, this role uses those same skills — just in a production environment.
This is a machine-focused position where you’ll be responsible for keeping automated packaging equipment running efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Troubleshooting packaging line machinery
Fixing jams and minimizing downtime
Adjusting and maintaining automated equipment
Performing basic mechanical repairs
Supporting preventative maintenance efforts
Monitoring equipment and identifying issues early
This Role Is a Strong Fit For:
Maintenance Technicians / Helpers
Machine Operators with troubleshooting experience
Mechanically inclined candidates with hands‑on repair experience
Requirements (Non‑Negotiable):
Minimum 1 year of machine operating or mechanical troubleshooting experience
Comfortable working in a cold environment (30–35°F) for full shifts
Ability to stand for 10+ hours
Must speak English
No food allergies (including anyone in your household due to facility requirements)
Work Environment: This facility operates in a cold environment (30–35°F). Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions daily.
