Hiring a Construction Superintendent in building and construction to lead ground‑up projects in Buffalo, NY. This role involves overseeing all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
We are currently hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground‑up construction projects for multiple companies across Western New York. Ideal candidates will have a solid track record of managing all phases of construction—from foundation through completion—while coordinating subcontractors and working closely with architects. Strong leadership abilities, along with proficiency in reading blueprints and project documentation, are essential.
Responsibilities
Oversee ground‑up construction projects, including laying concrete foundations and building with wood or metal framing.
Manage day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.
Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and all relevant documentation.
Ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during construction.
Maintain communication with company management and provide regular progress updates.
Qualifications
Experience in ground‑up building and construction with a General Contractor is a must as a Construction Project Manager/ Superintendent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction site supervision (10+ years of experience preferred for top salary).
Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Procore).
OSHA 30 certification or other safety credentials strongly preferred.
Ability to lead on‑site meetings with clients, engineers, contractors and consultants.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong references and a history of successfully completed projects.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
Must be local to Rochester or Buffalo, New York.
