Strategy & Operations Associate will work directly with the Chief Commercial Officer across a wide range of operational and strategic initiatives. This is a high-exposure, project-driven role within a growing multi-location hospitality platform. The position will work across operations, analytics, and new business initiatives. This is a full time, in-office role based in Grand Rapids, MI.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role spans multiple areas of the business and will evolve over time. Responsibilities will include a mix of execution, analysis, and project work such as:
Supporting operational initiatives across resort locations, including food & beverage, retail, and guest-facing activities
Maintaining and refining standardized systems (menus, pricing structures, product assortments, etc.)
Assisting with new business initiatives, including partnerships, third-party management opportunities, and new concepts (e.g., entertainment and events)
Conducting research and translating ideas into clear, actionable plans
Managing and progressing multiple projects simultaneously, often with limited structure
Coordinating with on-site teams to support execution and ensure consistency across locations
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
2–4 years of experience in operations, consulting, finance, or a related field
Exposure to multi-location businesses, hospitality, or project-based work
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Comfortable working across different types of problems and navigating ambiguity
Think critically and ask strong follow-up questions
Good attitude and work ethics with strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and process management skillsIs comfortable working with data and drawing insights from it
Takes ownership of work and follows through to completion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient knowledge of PC and Mac software applications and Google Business Suites
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate with limited direction in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel to parks and represent our home office team professionally and effectively
Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, automation tools, data analysis tools) and an interest in applying them to improve workflows and decision‑making
