A nationally respected General Contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager or Senior Preconstruction Manager to support continued growth in their Charlotte operations. This is a highly visible role focused on winning and delivering complex, design‑build projects across industrial and mission‑critical sectors. The client is a large, nationally recognized General Contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast and an aggressive growth plan in the Charlotte market. The firm is known for delivering complex, large‑scale industrial and mission‑critical projects and takes a long‑term approach to hiring, focusing on careers, not single projects. They offer strong compensation, excellent benefits, and meaningful exposure to leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction efforts from early pursuit through handoff
Develop conceptual and detailed estimates, schedules, and budgets
Drive value engineering and cost optimization strategies
Collaborate closely with operations, design teams, and business development
Present confidently to clients during pursuits and interviews
Help mentor and grow the estimating / preconstruction team
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and competitiveness across bids
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in preconstruction / estimating
Strong career stability with limited job moves
Confident and professional in client‑facing presentations
Motivated, self‑driven, and growth‑oriented
Background with large, reputable General Contractors preferred
Design‑Build experience is a major plus
Former Army / military leadership background of high interest
Benefits / Compensation
Competitive salary ranging from USD 130,000 to USD 180,000 annually.
Permanent role offering stability and growth opportunities.
Vehicle Allowance: $850/month
PTO: 3 weeks plus 5 sick days
