Internship Summary Sport Management Interns will learn how to promote and operate sports leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, and other special events. They will be immersed in the scheduling, execution, and day‑to‑day operations of the facility assisting in any of the following areas: Events and Operations, FEC (Family Entertainment Center) and Food and Beverage. Overall, Interns will gain valuable experience in the sports and recreation industry focusing on full‑service entertainment.
Internship Overview
Interns will be cross‑trained in multiple areas throughout the facility, such as event management, venue walkthroughs and daily facility operations
Will complete an internship to gain real‑world experience in sports management, sports technology, esports & gaming
Some students may have longer or shorter practicum requirements with less time commitment; commitment length will be addressed individually
We will develop an intern schedule to accommodate any individual requirements (i.e., class commitments)
Interns may be asked to assist during special events and additional projects that are not related to their specific area
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong desire to learn
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Demonstrate success with multi‑tasking and organizing multiple priorities
Self‑motivated and has initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashion
Working Conditions And Physical Demands
Must be willing to work outside for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Facility has intermittent noise
Preferred Requirements
Currently a student or a new graduate
A student majoring in sport management or a related field
