Position: Screen Printer
Location: Carol Stream, IL 60188
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Shift: 1st shift (6:00 am – 4 or 4:30 pm, Monday‑Thursday; 1/2 day Friday)
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements
Very detailed, good eye for color and color matching.
Quick learner.
Capable of lifting up to 35 lb and maneuvering around machinery.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, twisting, lifting, and moving.
Background check and drug test required.
Responsibilities
Learn and master screen‑printing processes for creating, cleaning, and reclaiming screens.
Set up screens, create color‑matching charts, and assemble completed screens into frames.
Prepare inks, run jobs color by color, ensuring exact color match with originals.
Run full job from start to finish, managing each color section and cleaning screens between runs.
Maintain a clean, organized work area; keep space tidy and free of excess clutter.
Work closely with the Printing Manager and assistant to read job paperwork and computer data.
Continually train, improve work habits, and display a strong work ethic.
Assist with additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Safety & PPE
Wear appropriate PPE: masks (optional), closed‑toe shoes, clothing without holes, and clothing that can get dirty (jeans or pocketed shorts acceptable).
Be aware of potential exposure to paint solvents, thinners, inks, and strong odors. Report any hazards.
Report hazards or concerns to the Illinois Department of Labor using: 1‑877‑314‑7052 or DOL.DayLabor@illinois.gov.
