Job Summary

Obtains operational results for specialty and personal lines products within assigned complex Agency Development accounts.

Develops, influences and implements sales plans that generate short‑ and long‑term profitable growth.

Builds a network of distribution channel partners to maximize available insurance products in the portfolio.

Manages the development of a highly skilled professional staff responsible for $170M+ premium volume.

Essential Job Functions

Participates in developing and delivering sales and market training for Agency Development, field and executive management, ensuring clear and consistent communication with staff and independent agent channel partners. Implements strategic plans for personal, commercial, life and financial services products, measured by premium, production, expense loss and profit.

Maintains profitability and growth of assigned territory through a consultative sales approach, including prospecting, training, market plan execution and commission management. Manages product positioning, marketing, and implementation of rate changes, and identifies market trends to influence future products and rate adjustments.

Keeps current knowledge of competitive, legislative and regulatory activity nationwide and industry developments. Provides input to enhance business operating systems and manages communication between marketing, underwriting and claims to achieve territory goals. Acts as business manager for complex projects related to product market and distribution channels.

Recommends market‑management strategies to develop, position and deliver product offerings. Coordinates delivery of products through all distribution channels, supplies marketing promotional plans, and ensures compliance with safety/ergonomic standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Higher education degree or professional designation desired.

Experience Requirements

Six years personal lines insurance experience, preferably in field marketing, with at least two years of supervisory or account management experience.

Independent agency leadership experience preferred.
