Must reside within 180 days of employment.
Responsibilities
Work with the Registrar’s Office and 2nd Review of Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) for official and unofficial withdrawals, ensuring timely return of Title IV funds to appropriate federal programs.
Process Departmental payments and Agency Scholarship Payments, serving as the department contact for college administrators regarding student departmental payments and resolving student concerns.
Follow federal, state, and institutional policies to create, update, and adjust aid based on eligibility analysis and various edit reports, evaluating the level and type of assistance that can be awarded.
Review Pell errors and monitor Pell Lifetime Eligibility Usage.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures affecting financial aid programs and processes.
Plan, assign, and review work for staff, ensuring group objectives are met.
Hire, train, develop, and manage staff to meet goals set by the Director.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, humanities, social sciences, or a closely related field.
One year of professional experience in student services, financial aid/loans, or a closely related field within higher education or a related agency. (A master’s degree in a related area may substitute for one year of experience.)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience in student financial aid or athletic department, demonstrating a broad range of student aid or athletic programs.
Knowledge of and compliance with federal and state aid regulations, and experience with institutional aid and other rules relevant to this position.
Supervisory or leadership experience.
Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Education and experience that reflect the responsibilities for financial aid or athletic compliance administration in a large, complex environment serving a diverse student body.
