Deputy Director Public Works Facilities Services & Capital Facilities

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, plan, organize and direct the repair, maintenance and capital construction projects of County facilities, parks and grounds including facility repair and maintenance, capital construction projects, janitorial, facility and park security, and grounds maintenance; schedule, assign, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field relating to architecture, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or business administration and five years increasingly responsible experience in building construction, inspection, and project management including at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Valid California driver’s license. A valid driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This position may require pre-employment drug test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for a background investigation. EEO Statement
