About Our Exciting Career Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced professional for the Senior Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist position. The Senior Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely servicing of first mortgage and home equity loan products. They ensure all servicing functions are performed in strict compliance with applicable legal requirements, escrow regulations, investor/secondary market guidelines and internal policies and procedures. While not a supervisory position, this role demands a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and ownership of complex servicing tasks.
The Senior Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist serves as a key point of contact for resolving escalated servicing issues and provides prompt, professional responses to inquiries from both internal departments and external members. Responsibilities also include processing loan-level transactions, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Must have flexibility to work extended hours and to travel periodically, which may include weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, college or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five years mortgage servicing experience in a financial institution with strong knowledge of investor loan servicing and reporting requirements for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, VA.
Experience with post closing and quality control of conventional, government and equity loan products required.
Proficiency with mortgage servicing systems and Microsoft Office products essential. Experience with FICS Mortgage Servicer, Corelation Keystone and MeridianLink LoansPQ is a plus.
Experience with direct customer service in a financial institution preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
Position requires the ability to function independently while exercising sound judgment of loan servicing policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and respond to changing deadlines and priorities.
Ability to function in a financial institution and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: 10 key calculator, fax, copier, telephone, etc. Mathematical skills involving decimals, percentages and fractions etc. required.
This position requires Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Must be able to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
Salary: $54,248 - $67,810 per year.
