Real Estate Analyst Job Purpose
This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an Analyst to work for a well-established Saint Louis area Real Estate investment firm that specializes in the acquisition, development, and asset management of office, multifamily, self-storage and mixed-use properties located throughout the Midwest. An ideal candidate brings 2-5 years of Commercial Real Estate experience including strong Excel skills, basic accounting skills, and a track record in financial modeling. Experience and knowledge of real estate finance, and asset management is a plus. Responsibilities
Monitor the performance of existing assets and provide monthly reporting to management Contribute to the research and preparation of financial analysis to support new investments and capital improvement projects Build and maintain financial models for new investment and development opportunities Perform market research, including rent and sales comparable studies and other market and project level due diligence Performed detailed financial statement analysis Provide analytical support to senior team members through reports and special projects as needed Attending meetings with the company management team, including property tours and networking events Minimal local travel and site visits may be required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or real estate (or related field) required. 2-5 years of related real estate work experience required. Proficiency in analyzing property operating statements, rent rolls and other key real estate reports. Strong understanding of real estate finance, deal structures, leasing and property operations for commercial and multifamily properties. Highly developed analytical skills include the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial analyses. Proven financial background with experience in financial modeling, strong Excel skills a must. Ability to form and clearly communicate conclusions from financial data. Strong writing skills with the ability to present analytical data effectively. Able to meet deadlines and complete projects with minimal supervision. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
