This role involves coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in international shipping and a strong understanding of ocean freight operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate ocean export and import shipments from origin to destination.
Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documents.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations.
Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, clients, and internal teams.
Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients regarding status and potential issues.
Resolve operational issues related to shipment delays, customs inspections, and documentation discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records and generate reports as required.
Support sales and operations teams with logistics planning and customer inquiries.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, import/export operations, or related logistics roles.
Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation, INCOTERMS, and customs regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight management software; experience with CargoWise or similar platforms preferred.
