About the Team The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce on DoorDash by expanding beyond restaurants into high-impact categories such as Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and Gift Cards. Our Gift Cards business is a rapidly growing vertical that plays a critical role in acquisition, retention, and brand reach across both seasonal moments and everyday use.

About the Role We’re looking for an Associate to join the Gift Card team, focused on executing experiments, launching seasonal campaigns, and improving the end-to-end gift card experience on DoorDash. This fast-growing business covers both our DoorDash gift card program and our gift card marketplace in‑app. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is excited by learning by doing.

Key Responsibilities

Operate: Stand up 0→1 pilots, build dashboards, manage week‑over‑week KPIs, and turn wins into scalable processes.

Launch: Create seasonal gift card campaigns to drive growth for our brands and initiate new initiatives to scale the business.

Analyze: Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate growth opportunities and prioritize the next bets.

Build: Translate consumer and brand needs into product requirements, operational improvements, and tangible outcomes.

Collaborate & Influence: Work cross‑functionally across the New Verticals Organization and broader DoorDash.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a highly analytical and cross‑functional culture (marketplaces, logistics, tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or similar). Prior DoorDash experience is a plus.

Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make an impact quickly in a startup‑style environment.

Strong analytical skills, comfortable pulling data in SQL and building models in Excel.

Adaptable and efficient, continually seeking new tools and ways to work smarter, including AI.

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation Base salary is localized according to work location. National base pay range for this position in the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $74,800—$110,000 USD.

Paid Time Off

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (≈6.7 hours/month at 40 hrs/week; ≈3.4 hours/month at 20 hrs/week) and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (≈5.8 hours/month at 40 hrs/week; ≈2.9 hours/month at 20 hrs/week).
