Overview Oracle Database & System Administrator to support the DMAS accounting system, Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR) and 25 Oracle APEX applications. Duties include quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution, deployments, and maintenance of the underlying Oracle databases.
Responsibilities
Quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution and deployments.
Deploy changes for Oracle APEX applications.
Carry out Oracle database maintenance, patching/upgrades, and resolve issues promptly.
Use Oracle database job scheduler and create service requests.
Provide accurate effort estimates and work independently while communicating effectively.
Maintain technical documentation and assist in system and database troubleshooting.
Support Oracle EBS R12 running in Linux environment.
Provide night and weekend coverage for patching when required.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience with Oracle Application database administration version 19.
5+ years of experience with Oracle APEX versions 21 and 24 with workflow.
5+ years of experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 in Linux.
5+ years of experience with Oracle database upgrade, maintenance, patching and job scheduler.
5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Strong understanding of RDBMS principles and Oracle best practices.
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with unified auditing (plus).
Experience writing scripts for routine data loads.
Experience designing Oracle solutions and migrating from on‑prem PCA to OCI.
Experience with waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience creating usable technical documentation.
Required / Desired Skills
Required: Oracle Application database admin v19, Oracle APEX v21/24 (workflow), Oracle EBS R12 (Linux), database upgrade, EBS system administration, Windows/Linux OS, database maintenance/patching, job scheduler, RDBMS principles, independent work, communication, documentation, scripts, SQL/PLSQL, SDLC knowledge.
Desired: Design Oracle solutions, migrating EBS/APEX to OCI, unified auditing.
Nice to have: Healthcare environment experience.
