Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, must be able to perform massage in 90 minute sessions or less.
Shift:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Summary The Massage Therapist/ UKHC conducts brief assessments of all new massage therapy clients and documents findings. Provides safe, effective and appropriate massage services to clients based on individual and health-related needs. Perform health history and updates prior to each session. Ascertain precautions/contraindications for massage prior to each session. Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to clients’ needs and preferences. Develop massage therapy program for growth. Perform all duties in a manner which reflect UK Healthcare’s mission and values.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Specialty certifications/trainings for specialty areas, Microsoft Office
Preferred Education/Experience Prefer experience and certifications in additional Integrative Medicine modalities such as Massage Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, etc.
