The Senior Director or Director, Business & Legal Affairs will lead all business and legal matters for the Global Distribution team, including negotiating, advising, and documenting content license/distribution agreements, and handling distribution aspects of co‑production and co‑financing transactions. Key Responsibilities
Serve as strategic advisor to sales executives and other business leaders on complex licensing transactions worldwide, advising on deal structure and business impacts. Lead drafting and negotiation of content licensing agreements for television and digital
ew media customers across linear, FAST, AVOD, SVOD, VOD, and other media. Collaborate with sales, marketing, technology, and administrative teams to identify and resolve business and legal issues, including contract interpretation. Oversee general legal and business practices and standards, including litigation matters. Ensure regulatory and legal compliance for content distribution. Direct special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. 7+ years of experience for the Senior Director (or 3+ years for the Director) with corporate/transactional work at a major law firm and ideally in‑house experience in a similar role. Member of the New York bar or another U.S. state bar. Desired Characteristics
Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strategic thinker able to guide negotiations to closure. Effective interpersonal skills for interacting across all organizational levels. Persuasive communicator with vision. Ability to respond quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations. Independent and collaborative team player. Initiative, self‑starter, accountable and flexible to increasing responsibility. Experience in licensing entertainment products is a plus. Salary range: $140,000–$170,000 for Director; $165,000–$200,000 for Senior Director, with bonus and long‑term incentive eligibility. This position has a hybrid schedule, requiring presence in the New York office at least four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
