McCormick is seeking a Senior Director, Human Relations to join our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This hybrid role is eligible for 50% onsite per month.
Position Overview Leads the strategic HR direction for the assigned group/function, enabling enterprise priorities while serving as the primary HR Business Partner to the Vice President/Senior Leader of their function or group. Provides end-to-end Human Relations leadership across strategy development and execution. Acts as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders and their teams, designing and implementing programs that advance both short- and long-term business objectives. Accountable for the development and delivery of integrated HR and business plans, including employee and labor relations; talent acquisition and management; leadership coaching and development; performance management; organizational effectiveness and change management; compensation administration and communication; regulatory compliance and risk mitigation; and People Support program identification and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction for assigned groups or functions within the business unit. In conjunction with company-wide initiatives, develops programs and systems that enhance organizational capabilities and accelerate the ability to achieve business results. Troubleshoots large-scale operational and strategic issues.
Responsible for all facets of HR functional strategy implementation: talent and performance management, compensation management, recruiting and staffing, communication, employee and labor relations.
Partners with leadership teams to establish, and implement, functional strategy and direction particularly with respect to development of organizational capability, aligning with enterprise priorities.
Provides leadership to management teams in order to identify functional and organizational opportunities relating to human resource policies, procedures and/or programs, influencing senior leaders in their function or group.
Responsible for development of direct reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a similar field of study.
15+ years of progressive plant and business unit HR experience, with a minimum of 7 years in Senior HR leadership roles.
Strong networking capabilities, influencing others, clear and concise communicator, and ability to build relationships and value people.
Strategic leadership, critical risk‑taking/innovation, personal/team leadership.
Base Salary Base Salary: $140,610–253,080, determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity among current employees.
