
International Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Position Summary
International Shipping and Receiving Specialist responsible for the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, including day‑to‑day small parcels and larger custom‑built systems shipped to customers worldwide. The role includes freight loading, unloading, stocking, shipping support for production and operations, scheduling shipments, preparing shipping paperwork and export/import documents, communicating with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery, supporting inventory management via cycle counts, and recording transaction information using ERP software.
Key Job Responsibilities
Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving of warehouse items
Preparing and coordinating with carriers (LTL, FTL, small parcels)
Interacting with the ERP system for shipping, receiving and inventory
Completing export/import documents
Receiving product from outside vendors, verifying counts, and entering data into the ERP
Communicating delivery of high priority inventory to the team
Maintaining material‑handling equipment by completing pre‑use inspections
Performing inventory cycle counts and physical inventory counts
Keeping inventory and warehouse clean
Communicating with vendors/drivers daily via phone, chat, and email
Following safety/company regulations on forklift/equipment
Labeling, storing, and organizing material to ensure smooth warehouse operations
Other duties as needed to support the production and operations teams
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Forklift certification preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Proficiency in managing shipping using an ERP system, including data entry and extraction
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including basic data analysis in Excel
Knowledge of best practices in global shipping/receiving, ERP integration and warehouse barcoding to automate transactions
Experience quoting with carriers to find cost‑effective shipping solutions
Experience using shipping software (Shipstation, SureShip, etc.)
Knowledge of international shipping requirements and ability to independently complete paperwork
Self‑sufficient, detail‑oriented, and organized
Ability to balance speed with accuracy
Excellent time‑management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem solver and team player
Customer‑service oriented
Education And Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or above strongly preferred
Forklift experience required
5 years’ relevant experience required
Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse environment/manufacturing floor. Noise is usually quiet in office areas and temperature controlled, but can be elevated in the warehouse where temperatures vary depending on the outside elements and weather. The role requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
