Position Summary The IT Audit Senior position plays a key role in supporting Sikich’s Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance practice. This position assists in planning, executing, and reporting on IT internal audits, ITGC audits, and technology‑related risk assessments, with a focus on evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of technology‑related internal controls, cybersecurity processes, IT governance practices, and compliance with applicable regulations and frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead or support the planning and execution of IT internal audit engagements.

Perform and review testing of ITGCs, application controls, cybersecurity controls, and technology processes.

Analyze systems, configurations, and data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Prepare detailed audit workpapers and documentation.

Lead IT SOX activities including walkthroughs, design assessments, and testing.

Draft and present audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations.

Maintain communication with client stakeholders and Sikich leadership.

Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, operations, and finance teams.

Monitor remediation actions and validate corrective measures.

Stay current on regulatory changes and emerging technology risks.

Assist with special projects, investigations, and advisory engagements.

Support business development through content creation and proposals.

Foster strong client relationships and contribute to Sikich’s culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CPA strongly preferred; certification required within 12 months.

Experience in IT audit, internal audit, cybersecurity assessment, or related fields.

Knowledge of IT frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, NIST, and ISO.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.

Pay Transparency In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $100,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
