
US Migraine Sr Marketing Manager, Congress & Society Lead

Role Summary
Pfizer’s U.S. Migraine portfolio consists of two complimentary treatments – Nurtec ODT and Zavzpret. Nurtec ODT is the first and only FDA approved oral CGRP receptor antagonist indicated in adults for the acute treatment of migraine and the preventive treatment of episodic migraine. It can change the paradigm in migraine treatment and potentially establish a new standard of care. Zavzpret is the first and only FDA approved CGRP receptor antagonist nasal spray, designed to provide patients with fast relief from a migraine attack with just one spray.
Over 41 million patients in the U.S. currently suffer from migraine but less than 25 % seek care. About 1.2 million patients with migraine visit the ER per year and almost 80 % of them never sought care from a community regarding their migraine condition before going to the ED. Less than 2 % of patients diagnosed with migraine are taking a CGRP treatment like Nurtec ODT and Zavzpret. Migraine creates a significant economic burden to the U.S. healthcare system, costing over $78 B annually.
Role Responsibilities
Shape and enhance Pfizer’s US migraine congress strategy, translating strategic objectives into effective opportunities for measurable impact.
Lead planning and execution of 20+ annual society meetings to boost brand awareness and engagement at congress. Develop booth design, assets, sponsorship tactics, logistics, and medical education initiatives to key customer segments in both Specialty (ex. Neurology) and Primary Care settings.
Attend select key congresses (AHS, AAN, Pri‑Med, AAPA, AANP) to support booth, executive encounters, and other tactical execution related to the congress activity.
Refine Pfizer’s society partnership strategy by collaborating closely with the marketing team to ensure optimal engagement and value with key patient organizations such as Miles for Migraine, CHAMP, AMD, etc.
Support Growth Gig who is leading and planning 20+ Miles for Migraine events.
Lead local exhibit and display tactics & logistics, including Display on Demand.
Assist the U.S. Marketing Migraine Lead with onsite KOL engagement meeting logistics.
Collect insights and metrics to evaluate performance; socialize findings with broader Migraine Team.
Support Field Input Team advisory boards to capture and cross‑pollinate insights.
Work seamlessly across different functional teams including (but not limited to) Migraine HCP/Consumer/Payer, Global, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and GAV.
Lead RC reviews for U.S. Migraine congress assets.
Support 2H 2025 operating and tactical plan development process, focused on congress strategy and execution plan.
Key partnership and collaboration with Spiro Congress Program Manager on weekly cross‑functional meetings and budget planning.
Oversee other agency partners handling CFC and congress assets, including Publicis, Area23, and Omlie.
Basic Qualifications
BS/BA degree required; advanced degree preferred with a minimum of 6+ years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or diagnostic industry, including ability to develop and deliver upon marketing strategies with proven results.
Demonstrated expertise and success in executing brand strategy and tactical plans.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal and external stakeholders to improve business performance.
Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one‑on‑one and in groups.
Change‑agile and dependable; ability to turn around deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in marketing preferred.
Primary Care and/or migraine experience a plus.
Self‑starter but also able to take direction and drive execution.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Strong project management skills.
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements Position may require some evening and weekend work around critical milestones and/or occasional travel (e.g., congress coverage, team meetings or workshops).
