Real Estate Attorney – Hybrid, Minneapolis – Full Time In‑House Contract Engagement
Latitude is seeking an experienced real‑estate attorney to provide full‑time coverage during an upcoming leave period beginning May 1. The attorney will report directly to the General Counsel and will support a sophisticated commercial real‑estate platform, leading leasing matters, advising on lender‑related agreements and tenant issues, supporting acquisitions and financings, and partnering closely with the business team on a range of real‑estate and contract matters.
Some key elements of the role:
Hybrid location with three days onsite per week at the company’s corporate headquarters; candidate must reside in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area.
Basic Requirements
Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in the real‑estate practice group of a large or sophisticated boutique law firm, or in a corporate legal department of a commercial real‑estate company
Strong background in leasing and transactional real‑estate matters
Experience supporting complex real‑estate deals and related documentation
Nimble and able to multi‑task with a practical, business‑minded approach and solid judgment
Strong drafting, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal and business partners
Active Minnesota law license in good standing
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Outstanding professional references
Position Details
Type of Role: Full‑Time Contract (approximately May 1 – Aug 31)
Schedule: Hybrid – three days onsite per week, remote other days
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: Annualized pay ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full‑time basis. Contract pay is based on multiple factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference.
Benefits: All contract attorneys receive complimentary professional liability insurance. Attorneys working 20+ hours per week are eligible for full benefits – group medical, dental, and vision insurance, group life, LTD, and AD&D insurance, a qualified 401(k) plan, and a CLE and professional expense stipend.
