POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of Finance is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations across a complex, multi-entity environment. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and the Board while maintaining hands‑on ownership of financial management, compliance, and systems. RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee financial operations across multiple entities, including budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, and intercompany transactions
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling across both organizational and project‑based budgets
Manage compliance, audits, and tax filings, including coordination with external CPA partners and regulatory requirements
Oversee treasury and investment activities, including financial movement across accounts and funding structures
Build and enhance financial systems, internal controls, and processes to support a highly organized and scalable environment
Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, board members, and funders by providing clear financial insights and guidance
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing complex financial environments, including multi‑entity structures and variable revenue streams
Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, and compliance within nonprofit or similarly regulated environments
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and financial modeling tools
Hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position offers a competitive salary in the $150,000–$175,000+ range, with flexibility based on experience. Benefits include health and dental coverage, a retirement plan, and generous PTO, with additional flexibility based on individual needs.
