
Business Analytics Consultant Senior- Lending Analytics & Tableau

Position Overview
As a Business Analytics Consultant Senior within PNC's Retail Lending organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA; Brecksville or Strongsville, OH; or Wilmington, DE. Your role focuses on advancing our data engineering and reporting capabilities, ensuring our analytics ecosystem is accurate, high‑performing, scalable, and strategically aligned with enterprise priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Own, enhance, and maintain data pipelines powering Tableau data sources and Lending dashboards.
Run, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL across MS SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Impala/Hadoop, and SharePoint.
Use internal Python libraries to connect to databases and generate hyper extracts via the Tableau Hyper API.
Work with version‑controlled SQL to maintain consistency across environments.
Support Tableau Server data sources, extracts, permissions, and performance tuning.
Develop and optimize Tableau data models, including relational and multi‑fact structures.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions.
Serve as SME for lending sales data, KPIs, and reporting structures.
Required Skills & Experience
Expert SQL skills with ability to diagnose, optimize, and document complex queries.
Strong experience with MS SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop/Impala, SharePoint.
Python experience including database connectivity and extract automation.
Tableau Desktop/Server experience, including data modeling and performance best practices.
Understanding of relational modeling, joins, and Tableau query generation.
Lending platform familiarity preferred.
Strong communication and analytical reasoning.
3+ years of relevant analytics, BI, data engineering, or data management experience.
Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (including military service) may be considered. No certifications are required.
Salary Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $120,450.00 (may vary by location, market data and individual experience).
