Job Summary
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Product Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location to define and drive the product vision and roadmap by understanding customer challenges and creating solutions that deliver value, differentiate from competition, and drive business growth.
Responsibilities Manages projects, defines deliverables, and provides definitive advice and interpretation of situations. Conduct in-depth discovery to understand customer problems, market trends, and competitive landscape. Collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate the product vision, its customer value, and future impact to customers, partners, and analysts. Address stakeholder needs by crafting solutions that maximize customer value while achieving business goals of SAP. Develop a comprehensive view of the Total Addressable Market (TAM), competitors, technological innovations, and ecosystem trends through partnership with Product Marketing. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure products are optimized for growth, aligned with customer needs, uniquely differentiated, and effectively positioned for Go‑To‑Market success.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
Indirect Tax Engines including Vertex, Avalara, or ONESOURCE;
ERP Systems including SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA;
Transactional Tax Reporting and Filing Process;
SAP Integration with Tax Engines including Vertex, or Avalara;
SAP FI Knowledge of Tax Posting and Reporting; and
SAP SD Billing and Tax Determination Logic.
Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:
Certificate Management and Exemptions; and
Business Intelligence Tools for Tax Analytics.

Compensation Range The annual base salary range for this position is $180,556 - $304,302. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towards demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $218,300 - $371,100. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
