SAP Global Marketing, Inc. seeks a Senior Product Specialist at our Indianapolis, IN location to conduct in‑depth discovery to understand customer problems, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Expectations and Tasks Collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate the product vision, its customer value, and future impact to customers, partners, and analysts. Address stakeholder needs by crafting solutions that maximize customer value while achieving business goals of SAP. Develop a comprehensive view of the Total Addressable Market (TAM), competitors, technological innovations, and ecosystem trends through partnership with Product Marketing. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure products are optimized for growth, aligned with customer needs, uniquely differentiated, and effectively positioned for Go‑To‑Market success.

Education and Occupational Experience Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Management, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Management, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications

International software product management (4 years)

Analyzing JIRA, Confluence, and Slack to help drive team alignment, create documentation, presentations, and project sheets for C‑Level use

Applying LEAN methodologies to track status and scope of projects

Competitor and market analysis including total addressable market overview

Performing problem identification leading to product vision, strategy breakdown including roadmap creation, and prioritization of product backlog

Additional Qualifications

IP warm‑up and Mail Transfer Agent Providers (2 years)

Utilizing Marketing Software products to scale SMS sending volume 100% YoY with different integration methods (SMPP vs. HTTP)

Transforming from on‑premise to cloud native inbound email services

Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is $127,160 – $216,128. SAP provides an annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $144,500 – $245,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case including education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc., as determined through the selection process.
