Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Account Management team, including both people managers and individual contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and client excellence

Partner closely with Sales Leadership to drive strategic account planning, optimize campaign performance, and unlock upsell and renewal opportunities

Act as a senior escalation point for key client accounts, ensuring responsive, solutions-oriented communication and long-term relationship health

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Ad Product teams to align on client strategy and operational execution

Establish and scale standardized processes, playbooks, and workflows that improve efficiency and consistency across teams

Monitor account health, proactively mitigate risks, and drive performance metrics tied to retention, incremental revenue, and client satisfaction

Lead regular category and stakeholder meetings to assess performance, remove operational barriers, and identify growth opportunities

Serve as a subject matter expert on Hearst Magazines’ advertising products and capabilities, providing strategic guidance on complex media planning and pricing

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

8+ years of experience in digital media, advertising technology, or publishing, with a strong background in account management or client leadership

Proven success leading and scaling high-performing account management teams, including managing managers

Deep expertise in digital advertising, including programmatic, direct-sold, branded content, and native solutions

Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and build trust across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through client retention, upselling, and strategic account development

Experience designing and implementing operational processes that improve efficiency and scalability

Passion for developing talent and fostering inclusive, high-performing team environments

Hybrid work schedule based in New York City (in-office requirements apply)

Compensation & EEO The base salary for this role is $133,000–$160,000. This role may also be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including bonuses.
