Clutch is looking for a Marketing Manager with experience in the building materials industry or similar background. Plumbing industry experience is a major plus!

Summary The Marketing Manager will develop, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns, projects, and strategies to drive brand and product awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. The ideal candidate is a creative, analytical, and results‑driven professional with a passion for delivering impactful marketing initiatives.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the leadership and execution of projects related to our brand and product communications as defined by the Director of Marketing. This role leads our brand and communications strategy by collaborating with our sales team, the Marketing Team, and other internal departments on demand‑generating initiatives. They will also work with subject matter experts to develop, launch, evaluate, and optimize campaigns and projects.

In This Role, The Ideal Candidate Will

Ensure alignment of marketing plans across channels with wholesale / buying group, and contractor / builder programs.

Assist in marketing budget process with resource allocation across digital, events, and traditional channels.

Safeguard brand consistency across all touchpoints (packaging, sales tools, digital, events, media).

Manage and create compelling content (product communications, video development, and case studies) tailored for contractors (MEP), builders, wholesalers, and engineers (AEC).

Oversee PR, industry media relationships, and thought‑leadership initiatives in plumbing/HVAC trade publications.

Ensure all messaging reflects both brand integrity & technical accuracy (compliance, certifications, product performance).

Manage digital presence (website, SEO, paid media, email campaigns, marketing automation).

Implement wholesaler‑contractor/MEP‑builder‑Engineer focused campaigns to drive lead generation and nurture opportunities.

Leverage analytics to measure customer behavior and optimize marketing funnel performance.

Drive product training and engagement through webinars, YouTube tutorials, and e‑learning platforms.

Develop wholesaler marketing programs, co‑op campaigns, and contractor / builder promotions.

Create sales tools (presentations, technical sheets, spec guides, competitive comparisons).

Support outside sales and customer service with product launch kits, Sales Guides, and other training materials required.

Drive adoption of CRM/marketing automation tools to improve lead handoff and pipeline visibility.

Plan and execute trade shows, wholesaler events, and contractor roadshows.

Collaborate with Tech and Sales teams to showcase new technologies and solutions (PERT / HyperFusion, Press Systems, valves, fittings, etc.).

Strengthen industry partnerships with associations, Buying Groups (PHCC, ASA, ASPE).

Lead and mentor Creative designer, Marketing Coordinator, and content marketing staff.

Collaborate with Sales, product management, engineering, and operations for integrated campaigns.

Partner with sales leadership to ensure marketing is driving wholesaler, contractor / builder and sales team value.

Champion data‑driven decision‑making and continuous process improvement.

Any additional duties assigned by management.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

Minimum completion of a Bachelor’s degree within Marketing, Graphics Design, Communication, or related field.

5 – 7 years of experience within business administration, marketing, construction trade‑based; or construction industry experience may also be considered.

Previous experience as Manager / Supervisor in a high‑performing teams environment.

Advanced user experience with the Adobe suite software including InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, XD, and Photoshop and other technical tool platforms for content development.

Familiar with BI tools for decision making.

Experience with social media platforms and software aggregators and communications strategies for digital advertising.

Advanced user experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, self‑reliant, proactive, and capable of excelling in a collaborative team environment.

Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills.

Advanced copywriting experience a plus.

Experience in industry‑specific knowledge, e.g., B2B, technology, retail, etc.

Required to work onsite.
