Position: Marketing Project Manager
Position Overview The Marketing Project Manager will support the execution of our marketing and strategic initiatives.
This role serves as a central operational partner to the Chief Marketing Officer and the broader marketing team, helping translate strategy into action and ensuring initiatives move forward with clarity, speed, and accountability.
Unlike traditional long‑cycle project management roles, this position will manage a high volume of fast‑moving initiatives—from campaign launches and digital improvements to donor engagement efforts and cross‑functional projects.
Success in this role requires strong operational instincts, exceptional organization, and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution
Manage the planning and execution of marketing initiatives from concept through completion.
Coordinate multiple fast‑moving projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and priorities remain clear.
Translate high‑level strategy into clear project plans, milestones, and workflows.
Support rapid‑turn initiatives that require agility and efficient execution rather than long, multi‑year timelines.
Operational Support to the Marketing Organization
Act as an operational partner to the Chief Marketing Officer, helping ensure priorities are executed efficiently.
Coordinate key meetings, planning sessions, and project checkpoints across the marketing team.
Help manage priorities, timelines, and internal coordination across initiatives.
Ensure resources and timelines are aligned with organizational priorities.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Serve as the connective tissue between marketing and other teams including development, technology, and programs.
Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and ensure initiatives progress smoothly.
Identify and address potential risks, blockers, or dependencies early.
Creative & Strategic Team Support
Partner closely with creative and strategy teams to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to execution.
Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and feedback loops for creative initiatives.
Support brand consistency and help steward the organization’s brand across projects and channels.
Marketing Operations & Process Management
Improve and maintain marketing workflows, processes, and project management systems.
Introduce efficient tools, templates, and frameworks that help the team move faster while maintaining quality.
Manage martech‑related workflows and help coordinate implementation of marketing technology or digital initiatives.
Help optimize how work moves across teams, improving clarity and reducing friction.
Process & Operational Excellence
Establish and refine project management processes, tools, and workflows.
Drive consistency in how work gets planned, prioritized, and executed.
Introduce lightweight but effective frameworks (Agile, sprint planning, etc.) where appropriate.
Vendor & Partner Management
Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and partners as needed.
Ensure deliverables meet expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
Proactive problem solver who anticipates needs and removes obstacles.
Able to balance structure with agility in a fast‑moving environment.
Comfortable coordinating across teams and stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management and implementation skills.
Comfort working within conservative or religious partner environments.
Adept at using automated workflows or task‑management tools.
Thrives in a startup‑like environment and embraces ambiguity.
Requirements
8+ years of professional experience in project or program management (marketing, startup, agency, or related environments).
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience with tools like Asana, ClickUp, Monday, Jira, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
Familiarity with marketing workflows and campaign execution.
Strong alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and founding principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Comfortable operating in both structured and evolving environments.
Experience in non‑profit, education, or mission‑driven organizations (preferred, but not required).
PMP or similar certification (preferred, but not required).
Location, Travel, and Reporting
This is an in‑office role in Denver Tech Center; remote work is permitted during travel periods and as approved by manager.
Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
0‑5% travel throughout the year.
FLSA Status Full‑time, Exempt
Compensation and Benefits Annual salary of $75,000 – $90,000, plus annual performance bonuses.
