Here’s an opportunity to work with some of the finest designers and engineers in the toy industry, supporting all Mattel brands including Barbie, Monster High, Hot Wheels, and our Entertainment properties like Jurassic World, Minecraft, Dark Knight and WWE. What Your Impact Will Be

Be part of the D&D teams that create some of the world’s coolest electronic toys and games. You will manage multiple new electronic items each year, collaborating with engineers, designers, and cross‑functional teams in El Segundo, East Aurora and China. You’ll contribute technological elements to concepts, brainstorm new product ideas, and bring your expertise as an electronic design engineer to fascinating projects daily. Required Qualifications

At least 3–8 years of hands‑on experience in design, prototyping and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits. Ability to take ideas from concept through development and into production. Working knowledge of components and ability to define systems architecture—hardware, firmware and software. Self‑starting, self‑motivated, self‑directing, self‑managing and a strong team player. Project management skills; ability to lead, multi‑task and handle several projects simultaneously. Familiarity with ARM, 6502, Arduino, Raspberry Pi or similar; experience with smaller embedded systems for toys/handheld devices. Experience with electromechanical systems. Experience with audio engineering, RF engineering, communications and signal processing. Proficiency with software development for embedded systems. Product development experience within the consumer electronics industry. Cross‑functional collaboration with Design, Project Management, Packaging etc. Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical team members. Growth mindset: staying curious, continuously learning, embracing challenges and improving yourself. Preferred Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred. Ability to effectively pitch toy concepts to peers and upper management. Experience in product development within the toy industry. Experience working with vendors and PCBA providers. Vendor evaluation experience. Software test and development debugging. Desired Experience

Building prototypes based on input from non‑technical partners. Mechatronic / animatronic system design. Displays. MEMS motion sensors & microphones. Wireless systems (BT, WiFi, 2.4G). Microprocessors and Peripherals. EEO Statement
