Manager, Brand Advocacy & Partnerships

Prose, New York, NY, United States

Position Summary Prose is looking for a Manager, Brand Advocacy & Partnerships to build and grow the brand's most authentic layer of connection—through a thriving community, intentional brand experiences, and strategic partnerships. Central to this role is cultivating a network of micro and mid‑tier creators who are first and foremost Prose community members: real people who genuinely love the brand and whose voices carry influence within their circles. This is not a traditional influencer marketing role. You will focus on building lasting relationships and brand belonging rather than managing content pipelines or paid media activations. You'll partner closely with Brand, Growth, Social, PR and Retention teams to ensure community and partnership efforts deepen brand affinity and support long‑term customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve Prose’s brand advocacy strategy across owned channels, loyalty touchpoints, ambassador programs, and advocacy initiatives

Build and manage a micro and mid‑tier creator community rooted in genuine brand affinity — prioritizing long‑term relationships and authentic advocacy

Develop clear criteria and a scalable process for identifying, onboarding, and nurturing community creators and brand advocates leveraging tools and AI sources

Plan, manage, and execute brand experiences end‑to‑end — from intimate community gatherings and activations to larger‑scale brand moments and industry events

Identify, negotiate, and manage brand partnerships and co‑marketing collaborations that drive awareness and affinity with target audiences

Partner with Brand, PR and Social teams to amplify authentic community content and advocacy moments across owned and earned channels

Leverage internal tools such as CreatorIQ, Nectar Social, etc. to track, analyze, and report on the health and performance of community initiatives, events, and partnerships — translating qualitative signals and quantitative data into actionable insights

Manage event and partnership budgets, vendor relationships, and logistics with precision and attention to detail

Serve as a brand ambassador externally, representing Prose at industry events and in partner conversations

Key Qualifications

5+ years of experience in community/influencer management, brand advocacy, partnerships, or experiential marketing — ideally at a consumer brand

Experience in beauty, wellness, personal care, or a premium DTC/subscription brand strongly preferred

A clear point of view on the distinction between community-driven advocacy and traditional influencer marketing, with experience building or scaling the former

Proven track record of developing authentic creator and advocate relationships, not just managing content deliverables

Experience planning and executing brand events and experiences from concept through completion

Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with experience handling partner contracts and budgets

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple work streams, relationships, and deadlines simultaneously

Data-informed approach to measuring community health, engagement quality, and partnership impact — beyond vanity metrics

Experience/ability to leverage AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT in order to inform strategies

Passion for hair, beauty, or wellness and a genuine enthusiasm for building brand communities

Perks & Benefits Prose fosters inclusivity, learning, and diversity within our teams and workplace. Just as we celebrate unique beauty, every team member is encouraged to show up as their full self. In addition to creating an environment where all individuals feel welcome, we offer benefits that include:

A competitive and flexible PTO policy

annually (+10% discretionary bonus and equity). Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. This role will be a
