Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Clean Harbors is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their safety conscious team! The HRBP oversees the development and execution of line of business (LOB) specific people initiatives that align and support overall business strategy. The role focuses on working with the business and the Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE) to promote a culture of positive employee relations and employee engagement.

Responsibilities
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the Legal and Labor Relations department as needed, administer union agreements for assigned unions where applicable, and support HRD with union negotiations.
Consult with line management, providing HR expertise including change management.
Increase leadership capability through coaching, development planning and facilitation.
Build trusting relationships throughout the company by spending time in the field and getting to know the critical challenges to growing the business first hand.
Coach, counsel and train all managers and employees on company policies/procedures, organizational development training programs, career development, employee relations, labor relations, and all other training programs.
Strategically collaborate with LOB/COEs and deploy programs to understand and improve employee engagement, employee retention and turnover reduction (including updating of policies).
Facilitate annual performance management, employee development and compensation review processes (life cycle).
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct thorough and objective investigations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in a similar position.
Ability to bridge cross‑functional boundaries within an organization.
Ability to make decisions in an adverse situation and resolve conflicts.
Ability to support team development and strong problem‑solving skills.
Professional presentation with written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize and be detail‑oriented.
Ability to travel 25–50%
