Role: Technical VP/Associate Director (Capital Markets) Title: Vice President/Associate Director Mode of Work:

3 days/week onsite required Required Experience:

10-15 years Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and hands-on direction for the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical capital markets platforms. Actively contribute to development efforts — writing/reviewing production-grade code, optimizing performance-critical components, and troubleshooting complex production issues when needed (trading systems, risk engines, pricing & analytics, market data integration, order/execution management, cloud-native architectures, AI/ML in trading/risk, real-time data processing). Partner closely with sales, business development, and product teams: participate in client meetings, RFPs/RFIs, technical demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and solution presentations to help win and expand business. Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams; foster engineering excellence. Drive innovation in capital markets technology while balancing speed-to-market, cost, and technical debt management. Required Qualifications & Experience

10–15 years of progressive technology experience, with

at least 10+ years of hands-on technical delivery in capital markets

(buy-side, sell-side, or fintech serving institutional clients). Proven track record as a hands-on senior engineer/architect before moving into leadership (still capable and willing to code and design solutions personally). Deep domain expertise in capital markets workflows, instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, commodities), market microstructure, pricing models, risk management, and regulatory reporting. Strong full-stack or backend engineering experience (Java, C++, Python, Scala, Go, or similar) in high-performance, distributed, real-time systems. Experience designing and delivering large-scale, production systems handling massive data volumes and low-latency requirements. Demonstrated success collaborating with sales/client-facing teams: creating technical proposals, conducting demos/POCs, and translating complex technology into business value. Strong executive presence and communication skills — ability to influence C-level stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications

MBA - highly desirable for bridging technical depth with business strategy, client conversations, and commercial impact. Prior leadership of engineering teams (10–50+ engineers) in capital markets.
