We're building a private equity platform for the AI era. We acquire mission‑critical vertical SaaS companies ($1-10M ARR) and transform them using AI and modern technology. We're a team of former investors from Accel, backed by some of the world's leading technology investors including Reef Pass, Prosus Ventures, Accel, and the founders of Mainsail and TCV. We've raised >$50M and acquired four companies in less than nine months.
Role Overview We're looking for a Business Development Rep who lives on the phone. Your job is simple: find software company founders and get them talking to us. You'll cold call, show up at conferences, fly out to meet founders, and do whatever it takes to start conversations that turn into acquisitions. This is a high‑volume, high‑energy role for someone who thrives on rejection, loves the chase, and knows how to get past gatekeepers.
What You'll Do
Cold call software company founders and decision‑makers – hundreds of dials a week
Travel to conferences, trade shows, and founder meetups to build relationships face‑to‑face
Get on planes at short notice to meet founders wherever they are
Run creative outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn to break through to hard‑to‑reach people
Build and maintain a pipeline of founder relationships in our CRM
Qualify opportunities and hand off warm conversations to the deal team
Work closely with the founders to target new verticals, geographies, and channels
What We're Looking For
1‑3 years in a high‑volume sales, SDR/BDR, or business development role – you've made thousands of cold calls and you're good at it
Fearless on the phone: you don't take rejection personally and you know how to keep a conversation going
The gift of the gab – natural, confident, and able to build rapport with anyone from a bootstrapped founder to a seasoned CEO
Hungry, competitive, and self‑motivated – you set your own pace and it's fast
Willing to travel frequently and at short notice
Organized enough to manage a high volume of conversations without letting anything slip
Genuinely curious about software businesses and what makes founders tick
Software industry experience preferred
