Job Description
Note: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office at least 4 days/week to be considered for this position.
As the Senior Print Designer, you will partner with our in-house Design team, creating original artwork for our Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) Brands. The ideal candidate is an artist that can create exclusive prints and original saleable concepts that encompass style, color, and fabric with appropriate hand for market relevance and to be compelling to the brand’s customer.
Responsibilities
Manage the design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Director to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.
Consistently shop and research marketplace, including competitors, for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash, color.
Maintain expert knowledge of contemporary market, leading multiple brands and categories.
Research, identify, and present print & color trend direction; create and present design boards each season showcasing print direction.
Create artwork and prints for each season.
Actively participate in the conceptual development of print story and seasonal direction.
Ensure the print is consistent with market trends and business strategy, meets cost and technical parameters, and works closely with design partner to align print point of view with overarching seasonal direction.
Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, affecting operating area results.
Develop staff through coaching, performance feedback, assessments, and development plans; create an effective work environment with vision, clear objectives, teamwork, recognition, and open communication.
Own partnership with CFTs and oversee content catering to their needs.
Seasonal travel for research and/or product development.
Qualifications
Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design, Textile/Print, Graphic Design, or similar.
7-10 years of experience.
Strong design and conceptual skills; strong sense of textile and color application.
Strong knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques, and fabrics; ability to identify key trends and relate them to brand/consumer.
Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics, Procreate and/or Fresco.
Positive, passionate, with strong problem‑solving skills and collaborative mindset.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, multitasks, prioritizes, and communicates clearly.
Ability to coach, manage and develop direct reports.

Pay $93,500.00 – $155,000.00 Annual. Pay offers are dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives/bonuses. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
