Designers at Closets by Design begin their career with 5 days of intensive classroom style training on design and drafting and the formula for successful in-home selling. Immediately following the classroom training, designers are sent on their first appointments. During their first three months designers will have a full schedule of appointments and continuing training sessions which include field training as well as more advanced design training. While designers are paid by commission only, Closets By Design makes a large investment in each designer’s leads, approximately $5,000 each month, per designer. After the first 3 months, designers who maintain the minimum closing ratio can expect a full schedule of appointments throughout their career. Our Designers are required to work one evening per week and every third Saturday. Typical designers earn on average of $3,000 to $4,000 per month after their first 3 months and on average $5,000 to $7,000 per month after their first year. Above average designers earn between $80K and $100K per year.
