Job Summary
The Brand Manager & Content Creator role is an integral part of the Brand team, entrusted with executing our communications across all channels. This is a full-time, exempt position based at KIPP DC Headquarters with an anticipated immediate start date. The starting salary range for this role is $78,436-$85,256. The Brand Manager & Content Creator drives the creation and delivery of impactful content that enhances KIPP DC’s brand identity and audience engagement. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, you’ll focus on storytelling, copywriting, photography, videography, and social media management, centralizing the organization’s messaging and visual presence across all channels. Location and Type of Work
This is an exempt position and will report to the Director of Marketing. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support. This position will regularly provide on-site support to school teams, frequently partner with other headquarters teams, or work in multiple locations. Because of the nature of the work, this role requires onsite presence 4 days per week. Responsibilities

Content Planning & Development (30%): Develops and executes a comprehensive content strategy aligned with KIPP DC's mission, values, and goals. Leads the creation and management of the editorial calendar to ensure timely, consistent communication across platforms. Measures and reports on content performance using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve engagement. Brand Management & Creative Production (40%): Ensures alignment of all content with KIPP DC’s brand identity; maintains cohesive visual and written presence. Develops key messaging for diverse audiences (families, staff, community partners). Oversees production of marketing assets, adheres to brand guidelines, and leads copywriting, photography, and videography across channels. Supports crisis communications and oversees creative projects to meet deadlines and quality standards. Audience Engagement (20%): Manages KIPP DC’s social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and audience interaction to foster community and drive engagement. Collaborates with internal teams to identify human-centered stories and respond to inquiries. Collaboration & Leadership (10%): Partners with school leaders and stakeholders to align content with organizational priorities. Provides feedback and mentorship to team members and represents KIPP DC at events with external partners. Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, content creation, or related field. Proven expertise in content strategy, copywriting, and social media management. Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, design software, and content management systems (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress). Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience in educational or mission-driven organizations. Familiarity with video production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro). Knowledge of marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights). Ability to lead crisis communications and handle media relations. Previous experience in brand management with a focus on storytelling and human-centered campaigns. Physical Requirements
Ability to travel between KIPP DC campuses and attend evening or weekend events as needed. Capacity to work on-site with occasional flexibility for remote work based on organizational needs. Ability to lift and transport lightweight equipment for events or photoshoots, if necessary. Demonstrated Excellence In The Following Areas
