Director, Non-Production Material Responsibilities

Functional leadership of the Americas NPM Buyers.

Support all regional sourcing activities related to rubber molds, machines and equipment, MRO, IT, Services, Logistics, eProcurement, etc.

Interface between VC plants, buyers & category managers to foster collaboration & achievement of goals within NPM (i.e. cost savings).

Continuous improvement of NPM Processes within the region Americas & alignment with other regions.

Drive digitalization within NPM Purchasing.

Create, improve & train the understanding of increasing internal and external requirements to NPM processes (e.g. legal, customer, VC).

Maintain NPM standing/vision within the Americas Organization.

Drive & foster the exchange between the local/global NPM Functions & other stakeholders within VC.

Improve ERP data & supplier data for analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required.

10+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, including leadership of regional or global teams.

Strong experience in indirect (NPM) purchasing categories such as capital equipment, MRO, logistics, IT, and services.

Proven track record of leading sourcing initiatives, driving cost savings, and improving supplier performance across multiple sites.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams in a matrixed, regional environment.

Deep understanding of procurement processes, compliance requirements, and contract management within a global organization.

Experience driving process improvements, standardization, and digitalization initiatives within procurement functions.

Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) and strong data analytics capabilities to improve supplier and purchasing data quality.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across plants, functions, and global teams.

Strong communication and training skills to drive adoption of procurement processes and ensure alignment with internal and external requirements.
