We're looking for an Electrical Designer at our Cary, NC / Conshohocken, PA / Cincinnati, OH / Indianapolis, IN office locations. You’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities. You’ll thrive as you perform computer‑aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for our client’s advanced facilities. Utilizing Revit MEP, you’ll create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling, and electronic document files. Our designers are responsible for delivery of complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads and form the core of our electrical delivery team.

Responsibilities

Develop key electrical deliverables including power, grounding, and lighting systems.

Coordinate with other disciplines and trade partners while executing the design.

Ensure compliance with client expectations, Jacobs Standards, National and Local Codes, and industry standards on projects.

Qualifications

Two‑year Associate’s Degree in a relevant field is highly recommended.

At least 3 years of Revit design experience.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.

Proficiency in Navisworks and/or Revizto and AutoCAD.

U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements.

Facility design experience.

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary and international teams.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.

Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.

Passionate about buildings and construction.

The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $115,000.00; the position is paid hourly based on hours worked. Individual pay is determined by location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
