Job Description Summary Reams Asset Management ("Reams"), an affiliate of Carillon Tower Advisers, is a fixed‑income investment management firm located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Since its establishment in 1981, Reams has grown to manage over $23 billion in a variety of fixed‑income strategies for a diverse group of institutional clients, including Fortune 500 corporations, large public pension funds, Taft‑Hartley plans, health‑care organizations, and a variety of universities, foundations and endowments. We currently have an opportunity in our Systems Department for an Associate Developer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining web applications that support and enhance our business. This position will also support and transition legacy desktop applications and be involved in process‑improvement projects. Additional responsibilities and projects will be assigned commensurate with demonstrated competency from previous assignments.

Responsibilities

Write effective, concise, and scalable code.

Embrace data visualization and related innovations.

Utilize Linux and scripting environments.

Primarily work in the software environment while also assisting with hardware.

Respond to critical incidents outside of regular work hours.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education / Experience and Skills

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field and one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training, and experience.

May occasionally work a non‑standard shift, including nights and/or weekends, and/or have on‑call responsibilities.

Requirements

Familiarity with Linux and at least one programming language.

Familiarity with code‑base compilation and debugging.

Experience creating, testing, verifying, and automating scripts.

Experience with web programming using HTML/HTML5 or web‑development GUI.

Familiarity with relational‑database concepts.

Preferences

Angular/AngularJS

Report‑writing software

Web back‑end technologies (e.g. Java, Spring)

Continuous integration, continuous development (CI/CD)

Jupyter, Python development

Amazon Web Services (AWS) development

Familiarity with or interest in capital markets

Education Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science; Bachelor’s: Information Technology.

Work Experience General experience: 13 months to 3 years.

Travel Less than 25%.

Workstyle Hybrid.

The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
