Job Title: AWM Regional Sales Manager
The AWM (Arvest Wealth Management) Regional Sales Manager executes AWM’s sales strategy in assigned markets.
What You’ll Do at Arvest:
Grow annual revenue and contribution margin as stated and approved by the bank plan. Drive revenue by performing and consistently improving ongoing sales and business development activities to increase recurring and transactional fee income to the bank and meet the bank’s income objectives within assigned markets.
Staff, retain, manage, and operate a profitable sales team in the assigned market consistent with laws, regulations, and fiduciary principles. Identify and recruit new sales and support personnel agreed upon by the CEO, Senior Director of Sales, Regional Manager, and local Bank presidents.
Monitor and take responsibility for all AWM and Bank‑related AWM functions for the markets.
Supervise, mentor, coach and oversee multiple Client Advisors, with differing delivery models and practice types in multiple locations of assigned markets. Utilize regular one‑on‑one and group coaching to drive team productivity with a primary focus on all Client Advisors reaching higher revenue targets annually.
Maximize market staffing and revenue opportunities by focusing on revenue from Assets Under Management (Investments and/or Trust), retail bank investment/trust sales opportunities, increasing household penetration and personal Trust Growth.
Develop, educate and retain Client Advisors and staff. Provide professional development opportunities to elevate their performance, while underscoring Arvest’s commitment to being an employer of choice.
Monitor AWM incentive credit for all associates in the market and take responsibility for working with AWM Senior leadership to correct any errors.
Plan, coordinate, and lead all aspects of the employment of AWM associates in the assigned markets, including overseeing client‑focused events, meetings, webinars, marketing, and public outreach.
Monitor the compliance performance of brokerage, trust, and insurance for the assigned market, ensuring all Bank and Regulatory required training and continuing education requirements are met. Address shortcomings and issues with affected individuals and ensure all issues are promptly corrected.
Handle all bank management responsibilities and expectations established in conjunction with the local bank management team. Attend and actively participate in the Bank President’s weekly/monthly meetings, budgetary meetings, and local Arvest Board meetings.
Effectively communicate bank and AWM policies and vision to the local bank and AWM team. Oversee and manage Investments, Trust, and compliance duties (risk management) and reports, and HR matters.
Minimize Principal Review Desk (PRD) inquiries.
Improve BAI (Bank Administration Institute) scores from those scores previously received on Teamwork & Collaboration.
Exceed bank referral goals by identifying prospects for trust, investments, or insurance and help develop prospects into sales associates for AWM.
Follow the direction of and coordinate with internal teams to provide quality products, systems, promotional materials, and reports.
Maintain proper securities and insurance licenses as needed for supervisory responsibilities. Fulfill all continuing education requirements for insurance and securities areas, ensuring timely completion of all Bank training.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to the Regional Sales Manager job duties. This includes timely completion of compliance training and adherence to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Toolbox for Success
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in financial sales and/or new business development.
3 years of management experience.
FINRA Series 7 license.
FINRA Series 63 and 65 license OR Series 66 (combination exam of 63/65) license.
FINRA Series 24 license or ability to obtain licensure within 120 days of employment.
Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance license.
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
Preferred
Advanced studies in finance, law, trust, wills, marketing, etc.
