A multidisciplinary engineering group is seeking a
Senior Process Engineer
to lead the design, planning, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipal and industrial clients. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys high‑impact work, technical leadership, and collaboration across multiple disciplines.
What You’ll Do
Lead process engineering design for water and wastewater treatment projects across all phases
Conduct process modeling, mass balances, and hydraulic analyses; develop PFDs and P&IDs
Specify and design treatment technologies such as activated sludge, BNR, MBR, filtration, and disinfection
Manage project scope, technical quality, budgets, and schedules
Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to deliver integrated solutions
Support permitting, regulatory coordination, and client communication
Conduct site visits during design, construction, and commissioning phases
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of progressive water/wastewater process engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related ABET‑accredited field
Strong background in treatment process design and optimization
Experience with process modeling and design tools (BioWin, GPS‑X, WaterCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
