How You Will Make An Impact ThredUp is expanding its Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS) sales team and seeks a full‑time Account Executive to bring new retail clients onto the RaaS platform. You will report to the Head of Business Development and Client Success, securing new revenue opportunities and building on a growing list of brand clients including J. Crew, Madewell, Tommy Hilfiger, GAP, Cotopaxi and others. The role requires a self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced startup environments and knows when to involve cross‑functional partners to close key deals. The position can be located in Oakland, CA or remotely in New York.

In This Role You’ll Get To

Lead the end‑to‑end sales process, from prospecting to closure.

Play a pivotal role within our sales team, ensuring achievement of client acquisition targets and revenue objectives.

Collaborate with the Head of Business Development and Client Success to refine sales strategies.

Guide Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in crafting effective outreach strategies.

Identify and craft sales collateral and scalable sales processes.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Legal and Marketing to relay frontline customer feedback and enhance the product roadmap.

Generate a robust pipeline through proactive cold outreach and complement inbound/BDR‑generated leads.

Maintain precise records of all outreach and communications within the company's CRM system.

Leverage AI tools (e.g., Clay, Lemlist) to build targeted prospect lists and execute data‑driven outreach campaigns.

Own and continuously optimize the outbound outreach strategy.

Represent the company at 5–6 industry events annually to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.

Plan and execute client‑facing events at industry conferences, including happy hours and hosted dinners, to strengthen relationships and generate new business opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in retail.

Demonstrated ability to manage an enterprise sales process involving multiple stakeholders over an extended cycle.

Proven experience in negotiating and finalizing contracts.

Consistent track record of surpassing sales quotas.

Intrinsic motivation to achieve and exceed established goals.

Exhibits a high level of professionalism at all times.

Open and responsive to feedback to enhance performance.

Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal and attentive listening; willingness to engage in cold‑calling.

Detail‑oriented mindset with robust time‑management skills and effective prioritization.

Proficiency in using HubSpot or a similar CRM database.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, workflows and follow‑ups effectively.

Experience planning and supporting events (e.g., trade shows, happy hours, client dinners) is a plus.

Familiarity with AI‑powered sales and prospecting tools (e.g., Clay, Lemlist) is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

What We Offer

4‑day work week, with Fridays off.

Hybrid work environment: 3 days in the office and 1 day remote each week.

Competitive salary with base pay between $95,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and location.

Opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock; eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards.
