As the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will shape the technology vision, elevate engineering excellence, and lead high‑performing teams in delivering scalable, innovative software solutions at Honeywell Aerospace. Your leadership will influence company‑wide strategy, strengthen our technical foundation, and accelerate our ability to meet ambitious business goals. Hybrid

work schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction for technology investments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute the overall software technology strategy of the organization.

Drive enterprise‑wide initiatives that require deep coordination across business units, ensuring cohesive execution and measurable impact.

Build and scale high‑performing teams through effective hiring, coaching, and talent development.

Drive cross‑functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts with other business functions.

Champion operational efficiency through modern development methodologies, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversee software engineering budgets, resource allocation, vendor strategy, and long‑term strategic planning.

Ensure software systems meet high standards for performance, reliability, security, and compliance.

Qualifications Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization. YOU MUST HAVE

8+ years of experience leading large, complex software development projects and teams.

Strong proficiency in programming languages (Java, C++, Python).

Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery.

Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.

Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving capability.
