Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager – TAVNEOS At Amgen, we serve patients living with serious illnesses and guide our efforts with a shared mission to improve lives. What You Will Do You will represent TAVNEOS to physicians and healthcare professionals, establish product sales, and perform total territory account management. The Specialty Account Manager acts as the central manager, driving product demand and coordinating field teams to meet account needs within the designated geography.
Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to exceed annual sales goals.
Promote TAVNEOS within approved labeling in a fair and ethical manner consistent with industry and corporate guidelines.
Co‑ordinate with key stakeholders to address access, pull‑through, and reimbursement issues.
Build strong customer relationships and communicate their goals to the team.
Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales objectives.
Report territory activity accurately and timely as directed.
Education of medical professionals on disease state and product information to drive demand.
Provide feedback to sales and business unit leadership on market changes.
Adhere to compliance policies, including the PhRMA code.
Collaborate with patient services and market access teams.
Coordinate between accounts and field teams to meet all account needs.
Educate healthcare professionals on site‑of‑care options.
Attend medical congresses and society meetings when required.
Manage promotional and operational budgets.
Maximize use of approved resources to meet territory and account goals.
Complete all company training programs.
Perform administrative duties timely and accurately.
Serve as a contributing member of a high‑performance team.
Carry out additional tasks as requested by the company.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Account Manager Level 4)
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of sales experience in pharma, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales.
Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience, or
High‑school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience.
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager Level 5)
Doctorate with 2 years of account management experience, or
Master’s with 6 years of account management experience, or
Bachelor’s with 8 years, or
Associate degree with 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Buy‑and‑bill experience and/or biologic/infusion success.
Sales experience in rheumatology and/or nephrology.
Experience with site‑of‑care and reimbursement.
Institution and integrated delivery network familiarity.
Essential ability to coordinate across field teams for full account needs.
Approximately 80 % travel, including overnight and weekend.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Professional, proactive demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
