You are a design leader who thrives in ambiguity and sees constraints as creative opportunities. You've built products from 0→1, established design systems that scale, and led teams through rapid growth. You balance strategic thinking with hands‑on craft, moving fluidly between setting vision and pushing pixels. Most importantly, you're energized by the challenge of making complex financial software genuinely elegant. We're looking for teammates who value in‑person collaboration and are within commutable distance of our NYC or San Francisco offices (or willing to relocate). Team members are required to work in‑office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible in‑office day. What You’ll Do
Define and drive the full design process from user research, product flows, and wire‑framing to UI design Work closely with product and engineering to define both short‑term tactical goals and long‑term product vision and roadmap Establish design principles and set the direction for Rillet’s design system Lead user research initiatives Understand the array of user goals, business requirements and technical constraints that shape our product Pull inspiration from various sources to invent new interaction paradigms in finance & accounting Lead a team of product designers, acting as a mentor and coach to ensure their success Recruit and onboarding new product designers Be hands‑on and contribute directly to Rillet’s UX/UI design Who We’re Looking For
5+ years end‑to‑end design experience from research to implementation across all stages of the design process 3+ years leading design teams in product‑driven B2B SaaS environments Proven ability to solve complex design problems and visualize complex systems, from financial concepts to design system components Strong cross‑functional communication skills with ability to work effectively with internal teams and customers Challenger mindset that questions the status quo and pulls inspiration from diverse sources to invent new paradigms Life At Rillet
